As the top-scoring duo for the first-place Lakers (35-9), James and Davis have so far taken the NBA by storm, averaging a combined 51.7 points, 16.7 rebounds and 14 assists.The other Western starters, as selected by a combination of fan, media and player voting were Houston’s James Harden, Dallas’ Luka Doncic and the Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard. The Eastern starters are Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid, Boston’s Kemba Walker, Toronto’s Pascal Siakam and Atlanta’s Trae Young.James extended his own league record with his 16th consecutive All-Star Game appearance. Davis is an All-Star for the seventh straight year.By virtue of leading the fan vote (6,275,459), James will be a team captain for the third straight year. All-Star reserves chosen by the coaches from each conference will be announced next Thursday (Jan. 30), and the All-Star draft is set for Feb. 6, when James and Antetokounmpo (the other captain) will draft the starters and then the reserves.
