first_imgLAMOINE — As they have since 2006, runners from across Maine will soon celebrate the life of one of their comrades by competing in this year’s Flattop 5K. The race – named in honor of the late Bill Pinkham, who died at age 62, just moments after running in the 2005 Walter Hunt Memorial Fourth of July race in Bangor – is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, beginning with a kids’ 1-mile fun run at 9:30 a.m. The 5-kilometer main event will start at 10 a.m. and will take runners from the Lamoine Consolidated School out the Shore Road and back.
