Windsor High School moves to remote learning after positive COVID case

first_imgWINDSOR (WBNG) — The Windsor Central School District says it is moving the high school to remote learning until October 26th due to the coronavirus. The district says the remote learning period will be from Friday, October 16th through Friday, October 23rd. The Broome County Health Department says anyone who has been in either direct or proximate contact with the positive individual will be placed in quarantine, and the district is working with the Health Department to begin contact tracing efforts. The district anticipates in-person learning to return at WCHS on Monday, October 26th at the earliest. center_img The Broome County Health Department alerted the school today of a student who had tested positive for the virus, and due to the number of staff members quarantined out of necessity from positive cases in the high school, they have decided to move to fully-remote learning. The Windsor Central School District says they will continue to monitor the siuation and will be notifying staff and families of any further interruptions to the school schedule.last_img
