Elections 2019: Voting begins at Donegal’s 261 polling stations

first_imgVoting has started across Donegal’s 261 polling stations.The 132,000 voters eligible to vote across the county can do so until 10pm tonight after polling stations opened at 7am this morning.Donegal’s island voters cast their ballots as usual yesterday. Donegal will choose 37 county councillors from a field of 85 candidates looking to grab a seat at County House in Lifford.Although many sitting councillors are tipped to retain their seats, there will certainly be some surprises.Donegal voters will also be casting their ballots to choose four MEPS in the Midlands/North-West constituency for the European Parliament.Finally, voters will also receive another ballot paper to vote yes or not on the amendment to the Divorce Bill.
